By following the recommendations in your owner’s manual and with proper care and routine maintenance, your Volunteer utility vehicle will provide many years of service. Your vehicle uses unleaded gasoline and, as with any gas-powered vehicle, never operate it indoors or in a poorly ventilated area. This will eliminate the threat of inhaling its exhaust fumes containing carbon monoxide. Before servicing, make sure the engine is off. Never modify the engine’s factory settings, as this can cause your vehicle to become unsafe. Your owner’s manual will list the complete recommendations for routine maintenance and service. The oil should be changed after the first 50 hours of use and then again at 500 hours. Replace the air filter after every 50 hours of service and the shocks after every 100 hours. Take precautions in changing and cleaning the terminals, or jumping the battery.
Clean the panels with standard carwash soap and non-abrasive car wax. Never use any abrasive cleaner or compounds. Do not use a pressure washer as water may come in contact with intake openings and electrical components.
